2014 VF SV6 Commodore Ute (Auto)
I’m currently in the market to add a nice note to my AUTO VF SV6 ute, just without / minimal drone. I’ve looked into x-force catback systems but they sound fairly average for the price, so I just want to replace the mufflers with either a muffler delete or aftermarket mufflers. My options are...

    Redback straight pipe - $210
    Redback sports muffler - $260ish
Lukey stainless steel sports muffler - $460
    J pipe - $300ish

From what I’ve heard the mufflers are my best bet for drone but I’m not sure if they’ll be loud enough (it doesn’t have to be super loud I just don’t want my car sounding like a Tesla anymore). I’ve also heard j pipes are good for drone. Any advice from anyone who’s used any of these would be great! Cheers :)

2015 VF/S1 SS Storm Ute - quite warmed up
From a new member to a new member G'day...
I have a mate who put J pipes on a VF S2 Ute - Personally I didn't think the sound was very good at all and that was on a 6.2L motor.... Your results may vary!
Hard to go past a good open flow muffler for better sound IMO.

You may struggle to get an answer because the above is an oxymoron.

V6 can sound amazing, even lfx but with auto it will be even harder.

    14' VF SV6
Trust me when i say this, do NOT put j pipes on it. Get mufflers. I purchased some j pipes for my 14 vf sv6 and they were the worst thing i have ever heard. Took them off immediately and put some SS mufflers on it for i 80 bucks off gumtree. Look so much better and they sound good but not loud.
